How Vitamin D interacts with Corticosteroid medications

A study showed that children taking corticosteroids for a long period of time had decreased levels of the active form of vitamin D and decreased bone density. Supplementation with the affected nutrient may be necessary.(1)
These drugs include prednisone, hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone, prednisolone, betamethasone, budesonide, triamcinolone, dexamethasone, cortisone, beclomethasone, flunisolide, fluticasone, fludrocortisone, mometasone.
