How Potassium interacts with Penicillins

High doses of these medications have been reported to decrease potassium levels in the body. Supplementation with the affected nutrient may be necessary.(1)
These drugs include Penicillin g, penicillin v, ampicillin, amoxicillin, ticarcillin, ticarcillin / clavulanate, piperacillin, piperacillin / tazobactam, nafcillin, oxacillin, dicloxacillin, carbenicillin indanyl sodium, cloxacillin, ampicillin / sulbactam, amoxicillin / potassium clavulanate.
